Celebrating Success: Our 2024 Year Highlights
As the year winds to a close, we at Event Temps have taken a moment to reflect on what a remarkable year 2024 has been. From memorable events to rewarding partnerships, the past twelve months have been a testament to our dedication to excellence in staffing and event management.
In this blog, we’re delighted to share some of the standout moments that shaped our year—key achievements, cherished experiences, and the individuals who made it all possible. Whether supporting large-scale productions, hosting intimate gatherings, or exploring innovative new ventures, our team has consistently gone above and beyond, demonstrating that passion and collaboration are at the heart of what we do.

January
We began 2024 alongside Strata Create at the Stellantis Annual Conference, delivering professional staffing support for this prestigious corporate event. Reflecting the energy and innovation that shaped the conference, our team played a key role in ensuring everything ran smoothly for attendees.

February
The momentum carried on with We are Weymouth and their extraordinary “EVERYBODY CHASE THE DINOSAUR” event. Adding a prehistoric flair to community engagement, our staff were there to ensure a day full of fun, laughter, and discovery.
March
March was a busy month, kicking off with our support for Sportserve, where our event crew laid the flooring for the Harlem Globetrotters showcase at the BIC.

We also partnered with BCP Council for the much-loved Bournemouth Bay Run, providing event management and marshals to cheer on runners and keep the course clear.

Meanwhile, for tech enthusiasts, we were thrilled to assist CrowdComms by supplying corporate hosts for delegate registration at the Kafka Summit 2024, where innovation and cutting-edge ideas took centre stage.

April
Spring brought a host of opportunities, beginning with the Dorset Spring Show, where we provided bar staff to support Hall & Woodhouse. This lively event was a brilliant celebration of local talent, crafts, and agriculture, and we were proud to play our part in creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for attendees. (pics)

We then worked alongside S2 Events, providing event crew to assist with unloading and setup at the prestigious Chewton Glen Hotel & Spa. This stunning venue provided the perfect backdrop for an exceptional event, and our team ensured everything was in place to run smoothly. (pics)

Later, we joined forces with Hall & Woodhouse once again at Brew London, an event that celebrated craft beer, creativity, and community. From setup to support during the event, our team played a key role in helping bring this vibrant gathering to life.

May
In May, we were pleased to support the Christchurch Cheese & Chilli Festival. With its blend of spicy challenges and delicious cheese pairings, it was a vibrant event. Our team played a key role, providing event crew for setup, bar staff for the busy bar, and event assistants to support the event management team, ensuring everything ran smoothly and guests could fully enjoy the experience. On 30th May, our team had the pleasure of supporting Sarah Quincey at Nouriish for the St. Giles Wedding. We provided a range of hospitality services, ensuring the smooth running of the event from start to finish. Our team was on hand to assist with guest arrivals, serve drinks and canapés, and manage the dining experience.

June
When it comes to festivals, Ziggu Camp at Glastonbury Festival is hard to beat. Supporting this renowned event with hospitality staff was a fantastic experience, with our team managing the lively, bustling atmosphere that makes Glastonbury so unique. (pics)

July
The summer was filled with exciting events, starting with the Poole Harbour Festival, where we collaborated with Immense Events. Our team provided support across various areas, from marshalling the campsite to assisting with event management, cleaning, and bar staff in the arena. This fantastic waterfront celebration of music, food, and fun went on to win gold at the DMB Tourism Awards, and we were proud to contribute to its success.

On 20th July, our team provided front-of-house support at a wedding in Lyndhurst, working alongside The Little Pasta Company. We helped create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, ensuring the couple and their guests had a memorable experience.

A week later we supported Ben and Chelcie’s wedding at Harmens Cross Village Hall near Swanage, with Amie, our Operations Manager, overseeing the day’s coordination. Our front-of-house team welcomed guests with drinks and served food from Rainbow Grazing, while Ginclaires provided gin outdoors. Our team ensured everything ran smoothly, allowing the couple and their guests to fully enjoy the celebration.

August
In August, we teamed up with Hall & Woodhouse and its bar team for the Ellingham Show and Dorset County Show, two beloved traditions that brought communities together to celebrate all things local.

On the 3rd August we worked with Wedding coordinator Clair Wild at Wild Wedding Company for Keisha and Strachan’s Wedding at Bake Barn in Salisbury and provided bar staff to assist with welcome drinks and putting wine out during the meal. (pics)

A week later we were attending another Wedding at Norton-sub-Hamdon village hall for Helena and Rich. We provided a front of house manager and staff and they had a great time!

September
Sustainability and creativity took the spotlight in September. We proudly supported Leader Associates with registration at the Investing in Green Hydrogen event, a forward-looking conference shaping the future of clean energy.
Meanwhile, the Arts by the Sea Festival with BCP Council offered a platform for extraordinary artistic talent—and our event team supported the artists in setting up a fabulous installation in the lower gardens.

October
Autumn saw us supporting NUIX at Humanity – The Ethical Frontier of AI, where we provided registration and merchandise stand staff. The event focused on the evolving relationship between technology and ethics.
We also assisted NAS Media at GradFest, managing graduate registration. The event provided an engaging and professional platform for the next generation of leaders, offering valuable opportunities for networking and career development. It was a privilege to support such an inspiring gathering.

November
We ended the year on a high, proudly taking home BRONZE for Industry Support at the DMB Tourism Awards! This recognition celebrates the hard work and passion of our entire team, rounding off an incredible year.

In late November, our director Dominique took the reins as event manager for We are Weymouth's Dorset’s Largest Elf Party. This festive community event aimed to set a world record for the most elves gathered in one place. Featuring live entertainment, music, and family-friendly activities, it was a joyful celebration that brought locals and visitors together to kick off the Christmas season in style.
December
Our Christmas staff have been busy supporting a variety of events, from corporate and social gatherings such as helping out serving prosecco at Victoria’s Secret store parties at Bluewater and Lakeside Shopping centre to community celebrations like A Traditional Christmas in Weymouth. This delightful festive event features a Victorian-style Christmas market, live entertainment, and seasonal activities, creating a nostalgic atmosphere that brings the community together to celebrate the Christmas season.
Our elves have been spreading festive fun at Santa-filled Fun in Weymouth, a Christmas event featuring Santa’s Grotto, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities. From assisting with crowd management to helping create a magical atmosphere, our team has played a key role in ensuring visitors enjoy a memorable, Christmassy experience.
